Hi Chris!

Permission to Connect started out as a conversation at a dinner party on how difficult it is to make friends as adults, especially when moving to a new city. Without the cute, fluffy dog that breaks down barriers among strangers, my cofounder and I wondered whether we could design clothes that could do something similar.

That's the great social experiment we are venturing out on today. Permission to Connect is designed to solve what we call the 3-second problem — that tiny window of hesitation where someone wants to say hi… but doesn’t. Our tees and crewnecks feature subtle prompts that spark unforced, real-life conversations in everyday places. Because life’s better when it’s full of chance encounters.
